This W-Trek is a Patagonia classic and the best way to see the highlights of Torres del Paine National Park. Hike right to the base of the spectacular Towers del Paine, see the giant southern ice fields and experience Patagonian's famous winds. The first day starts with the journey from Puerto Natales to the park entrance and an overnight at the relaxing Refugio Torre Central. We start the trek the following morning with a hike up to the Towers Lookout point for amazing views of the world famous granitic spires. The trek continues along the shores of Lago Nordenskjold to the beautiful French Valley which features excellent views of the surrounding hanging glaciers, mountain lakes and several peaks. The last day of the trek takes you to the Glacier Grey viewpoint where you will get a firsthand look at the massive Patagonian Ice Field where you may see icebergs calving directly from the glacier into the lake. You will be staying at local lodges or camp sites.

Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Natales & Welcome Briefing

Your adventure in Patagonia begins as our driver picks you up from the airport or bus station and transfers you to your hotel in Puerto Natales. After settling in, you'll have free time to rest or explore the town's charming streets. In the evening, a member of our team will meet with you to review your equipment and ensure you're fully prepared for the trek starting the next day.

Meals are not included on this day.

Day 2: Puerto Natales to Base of the Towers and Sector Torres

Hiking time 8-10 hours. 18km/11 Miles and Elevation Gain of 700m/2295 ft

The day begins with a scenic two-hour drive to Torres del Paine National Park. After completing entry formalities, we continue to Refugio Torre Central to start the trek. The trail along the Ascencio River is a gradual ascent, offering stunning landscapes and a relatively easy introduction to the hike. After two hours, we'll pause at Refugio Chileno before tackling the more demanding two-hour climb to the Base of the Towers viewpoint. Here, you'll enjoy your lunch while marveling at the iconic granite spires. The return hike takes us back to Sector Torres for the evening.

Day 3: Trekking from Sector Torres to Sector Francés

Hiking time 7-8 hours. 18km/11 miles and 150m Elevation Gain

This day offers a moderate but scenic hike around the base of Mt. Almirante Nieto, which stands at an impressive 2,750 meters (8,759 feet). The trail winds through windswept forests, grasslands, and along the shores of the striking Nordenskj?ld Lake. These landscapes provide a quintessential glimpse of Patagonia?s rugged beauty. By evening, you?ll arrive at Domo Franc?s camp, where dinner awaits.

Day 4: Exploring the French Valley and Trekking to Sector Paine Grande

Hiking time 8-9 hours. 15km /9.5 miles and 400m Elevation Gain

The day starts with a short 45-minute hike to the Italiano campsite. Here, you'll leave your larger packs behind and embark on the ascent to the French Valley lookout. This viewpoint provides breathtaking scenes of hanging glaciers and the occasional roar of avalanches in the distance. For those seeking an additional challenge, the Britanico lookout offers even more spectacular views. After lunch, you'll descend to retrieve your belongings and continue hiking to Refugio Paine Grande.

Day 5: Trek to Sector Grey and Optional Activities

Hiking time 4 hours. 11km/7 miles and 400m Elevation Gain

The journey to Refugio Grey is a relatively short hike, taking you through serene landscapes with stunning views of the Grey Glacier. Once at the refugio, you can spend the afternoon exploring the area or choose from optional activities, such as an ice hike on the Grey Glacier for $289 per person or a kayak tour for $189 per person. These experiences provide unique perspectives of the glacier and surrounding icebergs. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 6: Sector Grey to Puerto Natales or Optional Glacier Boat Tour

Hiking time 4 hours. 11km/7 miles and 400m Elevation Gain

In the morning, you can enjoy a final optional activity-either an ice hike $289 or kayak tour $189-before starting the return journey. The trail leads back to Refugio Paine Grande, where you'll board the 6:30 p.m. catamaran across Lake Pehoe. Alternatively, you may choose to remain in the Grey area and take a boat tour around the glacier for an additional $175 per person.

The day concludes with a late evening arrival in Puerto Natales for your last night.

Day 7: Departure from Puerto Natales

After breakfast at your hotel, you'll be transferred to the airport or bus station based on your travel schedule.
