This package provides the ultimate Argentina Patagonia Experience. Hike amongst the glaciers in Los Glaciares National Park, then head up to the Lago del Desierto for a great day trip around a precious lake. Your guide will be on hand to make hiking suggestions, and to point out the stunning nearby mountains such as Mount Fitz Roy. Follow your three days in El Chalten, with a trip to Perito Moreno glacier, the largest and most impressive glacier in southern Argentina. The day trip allows you to get up close, and maybe even be lucky to see some ice falling from the glacier.

Day 1: Calafate - Chalten

Get picked up from your hotel at 7:30am for the 3 hour drive out to El Chalten. Enjoy the scenery, the beautiful lakes, Estancia and breathtaking mountains. Watch as Mount Fitz Roy starts to appear on the horizon. Check into your hotel. Briefing with your guide will occur in the afternoon. Feel free to explore El Chalten at night.

Day 2: Laguna Torre Day Hike

18 kms approx 7 - 8 hours
Starting from the north west of town, this classic hike takes you through forests and valleys, before opening up, giving you views of Cerro Torre and the beautiful Laguna Torre. A challenging trek with short ascents and descents, you will hike alongside the Rio Fitz Roy for most of the day.

Day 3: Day Hike Laguna de Los Tres

23km approx 8 - 9 hours
Take the shuttle out to El Pillar to start the trek, starting from here allows you to see more of the national park as you have a different start and end point. The Laguna at the base of Mount Fitz Roy provides an excellent view point of Mount Fitz Roy and the glaciers. The hike is mostly flat, with the last stretch to the viewpoint especially steep. End the trek at the Northern end of town and walk through El Chalten to reach your hotel

Day 4: Navigation Lago del Desierto

8 hours full day tour
Take the shuttle out past El Pillar to Lago del Desierto. The road follows alongside the Rio de las Vueltas, watch as the rapids increase and the water runs clear. Once arriving at the Lago, there are a number of walks of varying difficulties which your guide can suggest. Hike around the lake, and even venture a ride on one of the boats, depending on availability and season

Day 5: Chalten to Calafate and Perito Moreno Glacier tour

3hrs bus to Calafate
Depart Chaltern in the morning and drive back to Calafate. Stop off to visit and tour the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the biggest and most impressive glaciers in Argentina and Patagonia. Return to El Calafate in the evening and check in to your hotel.

Day 6: Departure Day

Say goodbye to El Calafate and head out for your next adventure. We can arrange transfers to Calafate airport if needed
